Creating and Managing Quotes
ProCreate professional quotes for clients with detailed line items and terms.
Quotes let you propose work to clients before starting a project. Create detailed quotes with line items, terms, and conditions, then convert accepted quotes into projects and invoices. Quotes are available on the Pro plan.
Create a quote
- Go to Quotes in the sidebar.
- Click New Quote.
- Select a client.
- Set the quote date and valid until date.
- Add line items:
- Description of the work
- Quantity and unit price
- Each line item's total is calculated automatically
- Add optional notes or terms and conditions.
- Click Save as Draft.
Send a quote
- Open the draft quote.
- Click Send.
- Review the recipient email.
- Click Send Quote.
The client receives an email with a link to view the quote online and download it as a PDF.
Quote statuses
- Draft — Not yet sent. Freely editable.
- Sent — Delivered to the client.
- Accepted — Client has accepted the quote.
- Declined — Client has declined.
- Expired — Past the "valid until" date without a response.
Edit a quote
Draft quotes can be edited freely. Sent quotes can only be revised by creating a new version (see Quote Versioning).
Tip: Set realistic "valid until" dates. Expired quotes signal to clients that they need to act or request a refreshed proposal.
