Stripe Connect for Online Payments

Set up Stripe Connect to let clients pay invoices online directly from the invoice link.

Stripe Connect enables your clients to pay invoices online with a credit card or bank transfer. Payments are recorded automatically in Voltasis. This feature is available on the Pro plan.

Set up Stripe Connect

  1. Go to Settings > Payments.
  2. Click Connect with Stripe.
  3. You're redirected to Stripe to create or connect your Stripe account.
  4. Complete the Stripe onboarding process (business details, bank account, identity verification).
  5. Once connected, you're redirected back to Voltasis.

How it works

After connecting Stripe:

  1. Every invoice you send includes a Pay Online button.
  2. Clients click the button to pay via Stripe's secure checkout.
  3. Stripe processes the payment and transfers funds to your bank account.
  4. Voltasis automatically records the payment and updates the invoice status.

Payment methods

Depending on your Stripe configuration, clients can pay with:

  • Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
  • Bank transfers (ACH in the US)
  • Other methods enabled in your Stripe dashboard

Fees

Stripe charges processing fees on each transaction (typically 2.9% + $0.30 for card payments). These fees are deducted by Stripe before funds reach your bank account. Voltasis does not charge additional payment processing fees.

Disconnect Stripe

  1. Go to Settings > Payments.
  2. Click Disconnect Stripe.
  3. Future invoices will not have the Pay Online option.
  4. Existing payments already processed are not affected.

Tip: Enable Stripe Connect early. Offering online payments significantly reduces the time between sending an invoice and receiving payment.
