Data Export and GDPR Requests
Export your organization's data and handle GDPR data subject access requests.
Voltasis lets you export your organization's data at any time. You can also fulfill GDPR data subject access requests (DSARs) through the export functionality.
Export organizational data
- Go to Settings > Data > Export.
- Select what to export:
- All data — Complete export of all entities.
- Time entries — All time tracking data.
- Projects — Project details, budgets, and team assignments.
- Clients — Client records and contacts.
- Invoices — Invoice data and line items.
- Expenses — Expense records and receipts.
- Choose the format: CSV or JSON.
- Click Export.
- A download link is sent to your email when the export is ready.
GDPR data export
Under GDPR, users have the right to request a copy of their personal data.
For individual users
- Any user can go to Settings > Profile > My Data.
- Click Request Data Export.
- A complete export of their personal data is generated and sent to their email.
For Admins (on behalf of a user)
- Go to Settings > Data > GDPR.
- Enter the user's email address.
- Click Generate Export.
- The export includes all data associated with that user.
GDPR data deletion
To request data deletion:
- Contact support@voltasis.com with the deletion request.
- Voltasis processes the request within 30 days as required by GDPR.
- Personal data is removed while preserving anonymized business records (time entries, invoices) needed for legal and billing obligations.
Data retention
Voltasis retains data for the duration of your subscription. After account deletion:
- Data is retained for 90 days in case of reactivation.
- After 90 days, data is permanently and irreversibly deleted.
Tip: Run a full data export periodically as a backup, regardless of GDPR requirements.
