Upgrading, Downgrading, and Canceling

Change your Voltasis plan, understand downgrade consequences, or cancel your subscription.

This article applies to: Admin

You can change your Voltasis plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

Upgrade to Pro

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Click Upgrade to Pro.
  3. Enter your payment details (if not already on file).
  4. Choose monthly or annual billing.
  5. Click Confirm Upgrade.

Your account is upgraded immediately. You're charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing cycle.

Downgrade to Free

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Click Change Plan and select Free.
  3. Review the downgrade consequences (see below).
  4. Click Confirm Downgrade.

The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

Downgrade consequences

When you downgrade from Pro to Free:

  • Team members beyond the first user are deactivated. They cannot log in but their data is preserved.
  • Projects beyond the first 3 are paused. You choose which 3 remain active.
  • Approval workflows are disabled. All pending approvals are auto-approved.
  • Client management, quotes, and expense approval features are no longer accessible.
  • Desktop app access is revoked.
  • Recurring invoices are paused.

Your data is never deleted. Upgrade back to Pro to restore everything.

Cancel your subscription

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. Click Cancel Subscription.
  3. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing cycle.
  4. After cancellation, your account reverts to the Free plan (with the downgrade consequences above).

Tip: If you're canceling because of a specific issue, contact support@voltasis.com — we may be able to help.

Reactivate after cancellation

You can resubscribe at any time from Settings > Billing. All your data is preserved and restored to its previous state.
