Assigning Team Members and Setting Budgets
ProAdd team members to projects and configure hour or amount budgets to track spending.

On the Pro plan, you can assign team members to projects and set budgets to track time and cost against limits.
Assign team members
- Open the project and go to the Team tab.
- Click Add Member.
- Select one or more team members from the dropdown.
- Click Add.
Only assigned team members can track time against the project. Admins can always track time on any project.
Set per-member rates
If different team members bill at different rates:
- Go to the project's Team tab.
- Click the rate value next to a team member's name.
- Enter their custom hourly rate.
- Click Save.
Per-member rates override the default project rate for that person.
Configure a budget
Budgets let you track whether a project is on track financially or in terms of hours:
- Go to the project's Budget tab.
- Choose the budget type:
- Hours — Track total hours against a limit.
- Amount — Track total billable amount against a monetary limit.
- Enter the budget value.
- Click Save.
Budget alerts
Enable alerts to get notified before you exceed a budget:
- On the Budget tab, toggle on Budget Alerts.
- You receive notifications at 80% and 100% of the budget.
Tip: Budget alerts are sent to project Managers and Admins. Team members see a budget progress bar on the project page.
Remove a team member
- Go to the project's Team tab.
- Click the remove icon next to the team member's name.
- Confirm the removal.
Removing a team member from a project prevents them from tracking new time against it. Their existing time entries are preserved.
