Common Error Messages
Understand and resolve common error messages you may encounter in Voltasis.
This article explains common error messages in Voltasis and how to resolve them.
"Session expired. Please log in again."
Your login session has timed out due to inactivity.
Fix: Log in again. Enable "Remember me" for longer sessions on trusted devices.
"You don't have permission to perform this action."
Your role doesn't have the required permission for this action.
Fix: Check with your Admin about your role and permissions. See Understanding Roles and Permissions for details.
"This time entry has already been submitted."
You're trying to edit a time entry that's been submitted for approval.
Fix: Withdraw the entry first, then edit it.
"Budget limit reached for this project."
The project's budget (hours or amount) has been fully consumed.
Fix: Contact your project Manager or Admin to increase the budget or discuss next steps.
"Invoice cannot be edited after sending."
Sent invoices are locked to maintain an audit trail.
Fix: To make changes, void the invoice and create a new one. Or create a credit note.
"Maximum projects reached on Free plan."
You've reached the 3-project limit on the Free plan.
Fix: Archive a project to free up a slot, or upgrade to Pro for unlimited projects.
"Failed to connect to Xero."
The Xero integration connection has expired or been revoked.
Fix: Go to Settings > Integrations > Xero and click Reconnect. See Xero Sync Troubleshooting for more help.
"Network error. Please check your connection."
Voltasis couldn't reach the server.
Fix: Check your internet connection. If you're online, try refreshing the page. The issue may be temporary.
